I’m gearing up for another trip to Ohio this week, where I’ll be recording conversations and hosting a women’s meeting with Homeland Security and the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigations.

While packing up and making an itinerary of leads, I’ve been stewing over the next segment of The Basement Tapes, which dives into a big conspiracy theory of mine involving a man who ran away from a well-known facility in Holmes County, Ohio, only to be discovered hanging by his belt. Who discovered him? Christian Aid Ministries’ very own Search and Rescue Team….well known for their involvement in the Jeriah Mast scandal. Unfamiliar? Initially tipped off by a Facebook post issued by the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office on October 13th, 2023, I remember pacing the floor in my living room while anxiously awaiting any updates I could receive from law enforcement surrounding the case. I was buzzing with bees in my fingers, furiously texting and searching for updates in the comments. Something just felt *off* about it all.
